I love Tuesday Morning fabric! I have made MANY quilts with it. My quilts are just for family and friends, and are considered "utility" quilts. The one I have on my bed now is one I made with Tuesday Morning Jelly rolls and Waverly fabric from Walmart. https://www.instagram.com/p/CEhFaztjjnR/IT gets washed every week and is holding up fantastic.

at a lecture given by a VP of a large textile firm he said that when textile manufacturers have "off" prints or stock from previous seasons that are "outdated" they will sell them to other companies who knock the price off--said that can happen several times depending on the fabric. I think that is what TM does as their fabric is always precuts.

This is a layer cake that I would consider for a quilt but specially for making bowl cozies. Of course these pre-cuts could be a different size and work greatest in your quilting project. Price means a lot to me. Of course the touchy-feelie is the best test of any fabric.

Now you have me missing Tuesday Morning. Before I moved, we had a store that was about 35 minutes from my house. Now...nothing. I'm going to recheck to see if there's one in the Bay Area. It might be worth a pilgrimage there.

Tuesday Morning is one of the shops that is not doing well. They are still, I think, holding on to a few locations but the brand is essentially out of business at this point. They announced store closings and bankruptcy protections earlier in the year.

Tried to get a good link of the closed stores location but both sites I tried didn't like my ad blocker...

I was under the impression that all TM stores were closing, but after reading the recent posts, I checked in my area. Seems like one closed, but the other one remains open. I hate to see stores closing. I hope the remaining ones make it.

If you like the fabric, you should buy it.
I am not likely to be around in 40 years to worry about whether it will last, and I don't ever make quilts with the idea that it might someday be found in a museum somewhere. Once I give the quilt away, it belongs to that person, and he/she can decide to use the quilt however they choose.
