Tumbling Blockson EQ6
Does anyone know how to do a basic outline for Tumbling Blocks with EQ6?
I was tired and gave up and just printed from free paper the triangle paper to do a drawing. It seems like there should be an easier way to do it than just drawing it out. |
You can buy a tumbler template from MSQC

I just went to my EQ5 and noticed that under the selection of new quilts, there were options of Baby blocks and Variable blcoks. Did you check there?? I would assume if it is on EQ5, it would be on EQ6.

I have EQ7. I found a block named "Tumbling blocks". I used the quilt layout "On point" and the green quilt was my result.
I did another one where I drew all the blocks out and then used a standard quilt layout. It's the blue one. |

And then I realized that all my darks (shadows) were on the top of the steps....DUH!!! That won't work. So, I recolored the blocks, made the steps as a template with "Y" seams and fixed the shadows. This one is better. I don't think you can use an EQ7 pj7 file in EQ6. If you think you can, I will send it to your email if you pm me.

Barb, Sadly one cannot use PJ7 files in eq6. I have eq6 and tried, so this I know. But yes, eq6 can display a quilt using tumbling blocks.

You are talented with EQ7. Love it...sent you a pm
