I'm trying to make these placement http://www.she-wears-flowers.com/201...-tutorial.html everything going good until I come to joining the center feather to the three that are sewn (left side feathers) as you can see the bottom shape of the center I tried to pivot but get a pleat I email the girl but haven't heard back from her yet has anyone made these? any hints or suggestion I know it's me as I don't follow written directions very well thanks for any suggestions

I would sew from the center feather out on both sides. The part at the bottom where they all come together isn't going to show so it doesn't matter what it looks like. Make sure your seam width is consistent and be careful as the sides of those feathers are probably on the bias. They will stretch with minimal handling so I would starch the heck out of them before handling too much.

It looks like instead of pivoting, you should stop, backstitch, and then start again on the other side of the center feather.
