Tutto Owners - how do you get it from rolling around in the back of the SUV
 

I recently changed vehicles and moved to an Outback that is similar to an SUV. When going to class, the Tutto sewing carrier rolled back and forth every time I turned a corner. This didn't happen in the trunk of my old sedan.

I'm thinking there are a lot of great solutions for this - can you help?

I'd be interested in hearing how people solved this, too. I have to lay both of my Tutto's on their sides so they don't roll around. One thing they forgot on these bags is wheel locks. I'd really like to have those.

I put mine in the back seat but yes, that’s been a problem with mine too.

could you maybe get someone to make blocks with hollows to sit the wheels in, or 4 hollows on a large enough board. Better still a board with a frame around the edge, non skid mat attached underneath. just a thought, sometimes my brain goes berserk over-thinking.

When I travel with mine, I usually have the seats laid down which allows the metal snap that locks th3 seat in place when it’s up- to be exposed. Thiskindif sits it’s in own little recessed area—that’s where I put one of the wheels of the tutti bag. It rides beautifully in that little ditch.

My Outback is loaded with places to secure a belt or webbing type strap, even in the far back. Having said that, it's just easier to put it on the back seat and buckle it in.

I transport my machine & rolling suitcase the same as Tartan. Why - because a co-worker died when his suitcase hit him in the back of his head.

A bungee cord.

I have an SUV with enough space so I don't have to fold down the seats. I use that non skid rug stuff, put the Tutto on it and use door stops for each wheel. Then I strap it to the back of the seat, I put a strap around the seat and the Tutto and the machine doesn't move at all.
