Twenty Blocks Sewn in One Day
Okay, the blocks only have seven pieces each, but there are thirty blocks. I just finished. Whew! Tomorrow I will lay them out to see what the placement will be.
what design did you so. please show us what you did. I always need a quick design. congrats on your blocks.
Wow, that's a lot of blocks. Can we see a picture when you lay them out?

I am sorry I messed that up. I really did all thirty since about noon yesterday. I am naming it "Do Not Disturb" like the little signs in hotels. I plan to keep this one and spend a lot of time wrapped in it with my eyes closed. As I fell into sleep last night, I was thinking I could quilt it with sheep all over. Just a thought.
I plan to add a border but not sure yet what color. It will be 56 x 66 when done. |
30 blocks. That a quilt top. Congrats.

Looks great!!

That Is great..just goes to show that when you are not disturbed much quilting can get done. I sometimes cook enough for several days so that I can devote more time to do what I want. DH does not eat at regular times..so he uses the microwave a lot. For a Mexican man he doesn't expect me to serve him or warm his tortillas..learned that a long long time ago. Happily marries 43 yrs.

I'm enjoying your quilts with batiks recently! This is another that shows the fabric beautifully!
Thanks for the picture. That's going to be a beautiful quilt. It will be so snugly warm. I think quilted with sheep would be fantastic.
Love the fabric. Wish I could get that much done in one day :)
Boston that's impressive and attractive quilt...I am slow & I admire those who can whip through things.
mamagrande - that's the best kind of guy to have. First I let the cooking go (lots of one-dish or 'get your own' meals) & then the housework (except sporadically about once a week) & then the garden: DH did complain about the vegetable garden though (my favorite to work on out of the three anyway). Congratulations on 43 years! |
I would audition several fabrics and choose the one that pleases you best. Blue - calming, purple - royalty, green - happy, red - hot, yellow – overpowering, etc.
Nice! That's a lot of blocks in a short period of time. It's going to be a beautiful quilt
what a fun idea to use sheep on this cozy creation. A fast and fun pattern.

Awesome, both a quick project and a great use of scraps. I like it. : )
Awesome top! I love the batiks you chose. You had a busy day but so much fun!
