Thank you

Twister and Lil' Twister were the first two rulers and were designed by Marsha Bergen, the Primitive Pinwheel Tool is the 3rd size Twister Ruler and uses 3 1/2" squares. Itty Bitty Primitive Pinwheel Tool is the 4th size Twister Ruler and uses 2 1/2" squares. The Primitive Pinwheel Tools are made by Primitive Gatherings. I hope that helps, feel free to PM me if you have any other questions about the ruler sizes.

Twister quilts are very addictive! I agree with what others have said, the snowman twister quilt is awesome, HandcraftsByJen! I've done other patterns of your's and they all turn out great! The snowman twister might just be my favorite!

Do all rulers still have the same line cross section positioning. ( hope you understand the question) I have to send from US and it is wrong time of year at present in order to make for Xmas.

I think (hope) I understand your question. All of the rulers have the same shaped markings. The only difference is the size of the squares and where the marks are placed on the rulers. Some the marks may be down more than an inch from the corner and others may only be 1/2 an inch. (I am traveling right now so I can't measure all of my rulers because some of them are at home). I do know that a lot of people make their own Twister rulers, however, I like the purchased ones. They all have non-slip bump-ons so that they don't slide and the accuracy of a tool someone made versus one I made is worth it to me. Not only that, but the designers worked hard to create them, so why would I try to take anything away from them. (That's just my opinion.) I hope I answered your question the way you wanted.

Making your own 'twister ruler' is very simple and if you use a non-slip square, sliding is not a problem. Cutting on a slightly lower table than usual so you can put more body weight on the seam intersection makes a big difference as well. Here are two tutorials for making the ruler.
