I need to find a shop that has, in stock, the ruler for the quilt pattern called The Twister....no not the game!!. You sew your charms or stacks together and then lay this square ruler with guide marking on top, then cut apart and sew those squares back together.

I would like to order on line and pay with my debit card.....if anyone has a number for a shop that carries this ruler/square, please let me know.

TIA....jodi in leavenworth

There are soooo many places to order. I would google and then check the prices and the cost of shipping...

If you can't find one to order here is a thread where someone just made themselves one from a different ruler. Looks easy and cheaper than buying one

I bought mine (the small size) from And Sew Be It in Kearney, MO near Hwy 35 and Hwy 92. Have you checked Quilters Quarters in Leavenworth? For on line you might check Clotilde.

I made my own. I took my 4 1/2" square ruler and marked in 1 1/4" on each side. I then used a permanent marker to draw my lines diagonally. Super easy and worked beautifully.

www.heartlighthouse.com has both the large and the small twister ruler along with some table runner and quilt kits as well as a book using the rulers. I think the small one it is $9.85 + $2.95 shipping.

This works awesome. I actually cut mine from a square of plexiglass then just marked it like the tute showed.

I suppose everyone here that made their own understands Copyright infringement correct?

Sadiemae 01-07-2011 10:42 PM

If making a template that is not the same as the one sold is a copyright infringement, how can all of the different companies sell the same kind of ruler? How many 6" x 24" rulers are made. I don't understand, I am just wondering...

I made a wheelchair lap quilt for my mother in a quick few hours and it turned out beautiful and was "sew" easy

Bits and Pieces quilts in Pelham, NH has them. I just got their newsletter this morning. Just google them.

Yes, We all know about copyrights. We did not say we were going to make them and sell them!!! We were only trying to help a lady find a ruler!!! I think we still have a right to make our own rulers etc. if we are capible of it!!! Are you telling us we can not do that now???

crashnquilt 01-08-2011 07:25 AM

That looks the same as the X BLOCK quilt. Is it the same ruler as that?
