I have the twister tool and really liked the wreath that was created with it.
http://www.quiltingboard.com/t-74576-1.htm Now that it is Valentines day I was thinking on how to make a heart wreath and I cannot seem to make it come out right. Anyone on here wanna help me figure it out? Anyone have any suggestions? Thanks. Kirsten |
Can't help, but it would be cute.
|
could you applique the twister blocks in shape of a heart?
|
That would be super cute...when it is figured out, please share :-)
|
I was wondering this myself. How about a shamrock?
|
This twister block is going to drive me to drink. I am trying to make it very tiny, 1" squares, and just can't seem to get it that little. For a heart I would think that after looking at the wreath, put the heart colors in the order of a heart, like the wreath was in the order of a wreath. A heart might not be quite as symetrical because you usually have a heart that is smooth around the edges. Where as the wreath is not. But make sure if you get one figured out you post it here. I would love to see it. I was going to make hearts out of log cabin, now you have me thinking on trying this.

I'm still trying to draft this out!!!
I think it would be cute! K |
heart twister
Scroll through the archive section at bottom of the page, go to the picture section. Someone had done a twister heart tabletopper in reds and pinks, Very cute. or in the search section put in heart twister or twister heart and you will get responses.

Earline posted the heart with the twister. I just went to top of board and put in valentine twister in the search box and it comes up.

Found this somewhere and saved. I assume she used 5" squares and the small twister template. Add the border before cutting.

Takes some thinking to set up a specific design with these. I love the wreath.

Kirsten http://www.quiltingboard.com/main-f1...d-t175508.html The book that iis in is titled Let's Twist Again by Marsha Bergren |
There is a pattern for it in one of the twister books.
|
The pattern for the heart is in the "Let's Twist Again" book! I've ordered my charm packs and hopefully will have time to stitch it next week. Look on the Batiks, Etc. website under classes, they are offering a class on Feb. 4th and show a picture of the heart. It is layed out a little different than the book and I personally like it better!
