I just made a baby quilt in record time, using basting spray. THEN, I used the walking foot on my new sewing machine and machine quilted it!
This board has given me the confidence to try these new things. Thanks! |
Fun isn't it?!

Way to go!! Picture please!!
I love basting spray. For bigger quilts make sure you tape the backing down so it doesn't move as you do your layers. |
Great job!

Scrapykate, Thanks for the tip! Question: do you need to wait for a time after spraying for the basting spray to keep the layers together?
I'll post a pic as soon as I get a chance. |
Well done...no stopping you now!
|
This board is really awesome isn't it?!

Dottie, I just bought a Singer Confidence 7467.After looking around, I found it on eBay about $100 cheaper than JoAnn's + it had the walking foot and embroidery foot. I really like it. I got it for $199, with free shipping.

Congratulations Grandma7, when the spray basting came out a number of years ago my pins went out the window. Love that stuff. Most of us Pfaff owners have used the IDT (walking foot) for years and couldn't imagine not having one. Pfaff was the only machine for years that had that built in feature until they sold out a few years back....now others I believe have something simular. I do have walking feet for my other machines and they are truly wonderful in keeping the fabric moving evenly on top and bottom. Glad you are finding more ways to expand your quilting experiences as it is so much fun. There is something for all of us to learn everyday on this wonderful board. I have also gleened so much knowledge from all the wonderful quilters here.
