I just have the curent UFO's that I have been working on. I made 5 quilt since the begining of this year and have 3 more to finish up on. I have blocks that my Mom had that are 67 years old and it is hard to sew them as they are made of wool. I have only sewed 1/3 of the quilt.

Welcome mlpelikan! So you came out to join in the fun.
Wish I had known. It wasn't long ago that I sent all the ginghams to Goodwill.

And then there is Great Grandma's "Bachelor Button" set of quilt blocks that I inherited from 1930s. LOL Do they count???

I just finished a very different quilt today. I have had several cloth calendar towels, from the years as far back as 1987. These were given to me from family each year, so I just put them up after the year was over. I finally decided to do something different with them, so I made a king size quilt with them. It is not the pretties, but it has some meaning to it. I will use this on my bed this year.

One of my UFOs is a table cloth made from some of these calendars. I used to get those at Christmas time from students. I used a bright yellow calico fabric that I had used as a background on my bulletin board. It's still in a box somewhere in the closet. Hadn't thought of it in years. I may just need to pull it out after the holidays and get it finished.

I have 2 that is 21 years. It is stamped hand embroider, 36 blocks for each quilt. I started them for my daughters. I have 15 blocks of each quilt done. Hoping to get it finished in the next 20 years. Wish me luck

I had two... started them for my daughters' weddings. Finished the first one last November after 20 years. Finished the second one this August after 15 years. Was thrilled to have them both done and both daughters were thrilled to get them. I guess my motto would be "better late than never."

I have a lot of gingham that I would be happy to send you. I have to get rid of most of my non-quilting fabric and I would love for it to go to someone that would use it.

My sister just gave me a top to quilt for her granddaughter. It has pieces of fabric from dresses we wore in 1950 and earlier, a couple of blocks from much later, maybe the '70s. My grandmother made many of the blocks, she passed away in 1972, hadn't quilted for many years before that. My mother completed the top, she passed away in 1986, and hadn't quilted for at least 2 years prior.
I cried when I saw it, didn't know of its existance until a few weeks ago. Hopefully, it will be done for Christmas.
