Let me see.....I have an applique wall hanging that I've been hand quilting for the last 8 years (at least).

As of yesterday this UFO is almost finished. It looks like gawd awful but it sat for 15+ years in a tote. It was sewn very poorly and just wasn't going anywhere. So I took it to my sister's to finish it. You see she just got a Gracie II frame and Brother's 1500S at the Sewing Expo here a month ago so I figured what better way to try our hand and make all the mistakes on something that has no hope otherwise of ever being finished. Now at least it has hope as a beach quilt. We made a ton of mistakes. It has holes in the backing and we broke a ton of needles on it. The batting was used and not the best. But we learned and now this quilt will be of service after all. Of course a great deal was cut away and many other blemished were hidden. The pattern is called gift boxes. It started out as a King Size top and ended up only about a twin. It is almost done. I just have to finish the binding. And at that it is not a priority. It is just good to have it out of the tote and now usable even if only for something other than a bed or decorative quilt.

Oh, gosh. I started one for my DD when she went to college in 1977. Just took the top apart (never finished it) to remake for HER DD in college.

Have one for her sister, vintage calico in 1978. Log cabin - all cut out, just need to sew, sew, sew. Same thing, now for HER daughter going into college next year.

Don't worry...they are on my list :)

My first quilt is still only a top and it dates back to '89. Then my MIL gave me a top that her grandmother made. No idea how old it is.

I have a Grandmother's Fan that I started in 1996. I have all the pieces (blades - over 100) basted and just need to put them together and put them on the backing and , and, and, and.......LOL I've finished other's since then. I just keep pulling it out ever now and then work on it then put it back. One day...

When my daughter got engaged I started her quilt, had it finished for her Bridal Shower. 3700 pieces hand pieced. Started quilting it after the wedding. About 2/3 done, they just had their 18th anniversary. Maybe for the 25th?

As a matter of fact....I sart piecing a quilt in the 80's with blocks made fron my husband's and my boys' denims. It was one of those quilt as you go things. I stopped about halfway thru because everybody said it was going to be too heavy. Just this year (I moved twice in the interim) I undid it so I have 16 12"blocks. So does that count as a UFO?
