Right side most definately

I prefer the one on the left but both are good.

I love both. I think maybe the design in the 4 corners of the one on the right doesn't do justice to what your final block would look like. This is one awesome design to do in Excel. I sketch my ideas out in Excel, but for the life of me I do not know how you did hearts in Excel and the logs in various rectangles. I need to learn Excel from you!!!
Both quilts would be quite special.

I like the one on the right because I am a sucker for star patterns. What I would do though is make the corner blocks log cabin designs using all the "grey" fabrics. That will tie in the corners to the rest of the quilt.
Then you can add appliques using the Red fabric.
Just a thought.
