Use letf overs to make a round table topper

I have been amking 60 Degree table runners (tutorial on you tube also) and have triagle pieces left over. My friend suggested putting them together for a round table matt. Match what you can with the pinted ends in the center. Sew three together the other three then the two halves together . Cut batting and backing sew leaving an opening and turn (be sure to layer correctly for turning) or sew put binding around edges. Easy and inexspensive gits. Christmas is coming !

I have bought the pattern, fabric, and ruler. It is suppose to be so easy to do. I need to build the confidence to cut the fabric. I thank you for telling me that there is a you tube video. I know this will help. I may have to PM you on the scraps that are left. Great idea!

Another idea would be to turn them into a dresden plate

What pattern are you talking about?

It is scary to cut at first because it is precise, but the outcome is really a nice table runner and enough scraps for the table mat. Make very easy, nice gifts. Christmas is coming.

Sorry about that youtube video. It isn't the same one I did. I bouhgt the pattern and have to use fabric with a verticle pattern. The youtube is alot easier. But, I like the one I did better.

Is there a name for the table runner you are talking about?
