well. . . not much of a challenge for some of us. heehee too poor to buy much and with the grands living here so there is no space left to sew. alas, I will try to join next year! you ladies stay strong!! I will be lurking to see pics of your stash busters.

You had me in mind when you started this thread. My stash scares me witless and this was a year for producing UFOs. Weekly reminders are even better than monthly ones!

congrats on the space! sounds heavenly

I'll join you PaperPrincess! I think I can manage this one - just moved my sewing 'collection' into one of our spare bedrooms. Seems with the kids grown and on their own, that room was only being used for storage. Not anymore! Now it has my two sewing machines, quilting rack, material stash, and ironing board. It seems to be just the right size for all of my needs in one room! No more hunting from this room to that room for what I need!

Count me in......EXCEPT, I'm planning on taking a BOM class at my LQS and will need to purchase the fabric bundle for the block each month!! That's all I intend to purchase all year tho'!!

If I pieced 5 king-sizes tops per month for the next 10 years, I doubt I could use all my stash! I try to not buy new project fabric, but something beautiful appears in one of the shops and I have to have it. My husband is worse with purchasing lumber! And it cost a great deal more than fabric. I get my quilts done. He has thousands of dollars of lumber stored in the garage and in stacks under cover in the back yard, and hasn't built anything new is several years!

I'm in....I have to be in......there's no way I will live long enough to use all that I have. I was on a diet (fabric one) last year, and cut down quite a bit and now I'm ready for the real thing, NO buying, NONE, even tho I work in a quilt shop. Not even backings - I have enough wide backs to cover my house. So - people - check up on me from time to time, please. If I can crawl out from under the pile of fabric I have (okay, it's pretty organized, but...) I'll report my progress.

Count me in. I've been trying to organize my stash. It's time to use it instead!

This is something I need to do also. I inherited all my mother's stash to add to what I had and my niece gave me a lot from her aunt. I have started but I have a long way to go!

we had to do that to. Needed the Dining Room table for Thanksgiving. Broke my arm so I cannot sew right now anyway. But I really needed to clean up the this & that on that table. LOL I still get in the office where the fabric is stored to organize but I think I just want to finger it.
