used long arm In UK?
 

Hi i live in the south of England and so envious of u lucky people who live in the USA as you seen to be able to pick up used long arm setups so easily. Here in the UK you just don't see them anywhere! Is there any brits that know of anywhere over here that u can pick up a reasonably priced good condition long arm ? Even if its just an 18".

Good quality longarms hold their value very well, so finding a good buy on them is difficult even in the USA. I looked for a used machine for a while before buying my Innova new, and there really wasn't a lot to choose from.

Could you possibly check with a mattress manufacturer or an upholstery shop - some factory that used these "long arm" type machines/frames? We used to have several factories here - long closed - but I was told that they had lots of industrial type machines for sale that they sold when they went out of business. Just a thought.

Thank u for replying, I had that thought and i have looked at the industrial long arm they are reasonable in price and you can get up to and over 30 odd inches but they have no height in the harp space what so ever so they wouldn't work for quilting :-( Nothings ever simple ! Lol

Hi can I be cheeky and ask how much roughly it was and what size also did it come with a frame ? I have a grace pro but will only take up to an 18" throated machine. Regards Stella
