Thank you again. I will do that tomorrow.

My friend's Bernina did not have an indicator for when the bobbin was going to run out either (I ran out twice). So those 3 features are very important to me: needle threader, knee lift bar, bobbin indicator.

Good luck with your search. I wish I lived near FL, I would go check out that store!

As advanced as most of the Bernina machines are, I don't understand why they don't have a low bobbin indicator. I didn't have one on my Brother but the bobbin cover was clear so I could see where I was on bobbin thread. For me it's a minor thing though. It's a habit to check the stitches coming out behind my foot pretty regularly so I notice right away when I run out of bobbin thread. Nothing more frustrating than getting to the end of some long strip piecing only to find you ran out of bobbin thread half way back! :P

I was stippling and ran out twice while doing the FMQ. My friend's Bernina has a front loading bobbin and I'm used to my drop in bobbin on the Janome where I can always see how much bobbin thread is left in addition to having the beep on my big machine.

Are you loving your Bernina Rachel?
