Stupid question time: Is fleece cheaper than a decent cotton batting? Although, I suppose that's one of those YMMV questions, huh? Depending on where you get it, whether you can find remnant/clearance pieces-parts, or the weight/thickness you purchase.
Warm & Natural is on sale/clearance at Joann's this week for 50% off...$22.xx for queen size. But I don't know how that compares to fleece yardage. I find the best deals on fleece at Hancock Fabrics. Both Joanne and Hancock have weekly coupons. Ive never used it but going to give it a try. I actually just started a thread on the same topic. |
I use fleece as both batting inside cotton pieced quilts and sometimes the heavier fleece works great as backing without any batting. So lightweight and soft.

I have and it works just fine.

I love poly batt for the same reason: it dries so quickly in the dryer. Soft & Bright is my fave
