:?:
Do you mark your whole quilt top with the stencil before beginning? Or a section at a time?
I'm going to start doing a crosshatch on my top and not sure what to do?
Should I start in the middle of the quilt or on the top first?
Thanks!

I mark the whole quilt before we start the hand quilting. It is easier for me that way. Sometimes when marking with chalk, the marks get erased before all is quilted and it had to be remarked. Hope this helps.

If you are lap quilting, you should start in the middle. I sometimes mark all of mine and sometimes just mark as I go, either way is alright.

I machine quilt and like to mark the whole quilt at the beginning. It works best for me.

I too machine quilt. After trying both ways to mark, I found the quilting goes a lot faster if I mark the whole quilt before starting.
