Using WARM (not hot) water to prewash batiks

Yet the retayne label does say to use HOT water!

What a great price at only $2 per bottle. WOW!

The info they give is not what is recommend by the manufacture of Retayne. The instructions on the bottle states use a mimium temperature of 140 degrees. That is hot water.

I would believe the manufacturer.

Sorry, but I'm sticking with the recommendations of the manufacturer of Retayne, not the seller of the fabric.

I only wanted to share their "experience" with the cooler temp.

I washed Batik strips in straight hot water in my sink with Retayne several times til the water was clear. But when dried the colors were still clear and bright.
