I got hooked on making yo-yos last year when my mom was in
the hospital before she was moved to palitave care than passed. I have been making them ever since and so far I have hundreds in various sizes and other the the ones with pink I have no clue what/when I will do anything with them. |
There were two ladies at the Paducah Quilt Show last week that had on Yo-Yo hats - just regular ball caps with lots of TINY yo-yo's sewn onto the hats - really cute!

Yo-Yo hats...that's cute. Well, I started making Yo-Yos out of my scraps. I'm not sure what I'm going to do with them yet. I'm thinking of incorporating them into a sampler quilt, using different dimensional blocks. Also really like that quilt with the Yo-Yos sewn on to the fabric. I'd like to try something modern and new with them. I'll have plenty of time to think about it. I've only made about 25 of them so far.

I have a Pinterest board called uses for yo-yos. I've found a few different ways to use them besides quilts.
