vest panel into a quilt top?

Did I see it here, or am I imagining it? Remember when you could buy pre-printed panels and you could vests from them? You needed to add a lining. I thought I saw on this board a quilt top someone had made by cutting motifs from the vest panel and using them as blocks on a quilt top. This might have been a year or so ago. I found a vest panel and cut it up. Now to find fabric to sort of go with it. I'll probably use a lot of Christmas fabric but I wish I could see that quilt again!!

I remember that too.The only thing I can suggest is to go for it and don't forget to show the rest of us how it turns out!!

We frequently get vest and other craft panels donated to our chapter of Project Linus. A lot of the designs can be used as appliques. One lady in our group just cuts strips from them and uses them that way.

One of the ladies in our guild's charity group cut the whole back piece of a vest and appliqued it on a kids quilt as the main design. It was really cute, and I imagine a child thought it was unique.
