You could create a similar quilt by using the faux cathedral window technique, using circles of fabric. I had a play with this technique a while back, without buying all sorts of fancy templates. I used a dinner plate with a little bit of sticky stuff to cut out the circles, and you can even add batting and make it quilt as you go. Where the 'wings' are folded back you could use fancy stitches as I did if you machine has them and embellish with lace and ribbons galore...oh god I want to go and make one now ..I think it would look perfect for you

I have worked with the circle quilt in denim. That is a good idea.

I have several magazines called "Sew Beautiful" by Martha Pullen. She promotes French Lace. I think there is a quilt in my collection. It is all lace and is beautiful. If you are interested, pm me your address and I will send it to you. I have to look for it. I hope I didn't give it away when I purged my sewing room. I will look later tonight. A couple of my kids are coming over soon, and I will look later.
