Think I already know the answer but does the dealer accept Joanns coupons? TIA,Karen

shawnemily 03-29-2011 05:54 PM

Not in my local JoAnns. The viking dealer sends out their own coupons.

QuiltnNan 03-29-2011 05:59 PM

I don't believe the dealer does. I think that may be in the fine print on the coupon.

JanetM 03-29-2011 06:02 PM

No, they operate as Viking dealers and merely occupy space in the JoAnn stores. They are not part of JoAnns.

Ditto

sewwhat85 03-29-2011 06:12 PM

not here

No the Dealers simply lease space in a Jo Ann's . You have to pay for any Viking parts ect. at the Viking space not at the main register.
Many of the dealers are leaving Jo Anns (at least in my area) not sure whats up with that.

sewingsuz 03-29-2011 06:23 PM

I do not think they do. Viking sends out there own coupons.

Kas 03-29-2011 06:28 PM

Nope. And our Viking section is leaving our Joann.

sewingladydi 03-29-2011 06:57 PM

Nope

katier825 03-30-2011 01:40 AM

No, but I've asked and been given a discount. Doesn't hurt to ask! ;)

hobbykat1955 03-30-2011 04:21 AM

No, have to pay right at Husqvarna section for what you buy there...they are separate from Joann's

featherweight 03-30-2011 09:34 AM

No, it is a separate vender.

No - they are a NBD ( or new business development ) and are owned by Viking/Pfaff. Now that they sell Singers they may sell the singers at comparable prices and may match sale prices but when I worked in one, we did not / could not accept the %off coupons that JoAnns prints.

If you are are negotiating on a machine - always ask - "Is this your best price - Oh that is too much". Once you get them down as far as they are willing to go - ask " What else can you include - feet, thread, CDs??". Depending on how desperate they are to sell a machine (they do have quotas of a sort) you may be surprised!!

I wish you luck, the dealer in my local Joanns are so concerned about $$$$ and selling you the most expensive item, it is like walking into a used car lot! When I inquired about service/repairs they basically blew me off. I went to a local quilters shop "Floyd & Lizzies" and they were far more helpful and reasonable.

Morningcoffeegal 09-21-2011 08:11 AM

I know my Joanns has limited use on thier coupons and they can't be used on any sale item which everything I want is a sale item! LOL They can't be used on any sewing machines, sergers, cricut items, furniture, any really big ticket item. Even the fabrics you have to make sure it isn't one that is on sale. It's a bummer! I once didn't realize it wasn't on all fabrics that are on sale which most are and it went towards 1 FQ at the check out, was I bummed!
