Anyone out there with experience using this lovely quilting machine? Because it is a short-arm, as the quilt is rolled, the quilting area becomes as narrow as 3". There are many lovely over-all designs. I am also interested in doing more elaborate designs. Any info out there? Thanks much!!

Hi mama!
I have a mega quilter on a second generation frame with the Qbot. If you want more room to quilt, after you have done half the quilt then flip it around and begin from the other edge. Also you can do any thing a long arm can do, just smaller. There are some Yahoo groups for mid-arm quilters, mega quilters and home systems. Hope this helps. Keep smilin'& stitchin' Mandy |
Maybe a dumb question here but what is the Qbot?

I have a chance to get Viking Mega quilter with frame and cruse control for $1500 does this sound like a good deal

Super good deal. However, your space is limited & I found it frustrating. The more quilt you wind up the less space you will have to quilt in.
