Let's start a new thread to collect info on machines and their prices. If we get enough posts, we'll be able to do a quick search on our smart phones while we're at the estate sales and thrift stores. It amazes me how much vintage and collectible machines can vary in price!
So let's post the brand name, model name or number, the city and state you purchased it, the approximate date you purchased it, the general condition of the machine and the price. Also helpful to know any accessories, cases, manuals, table, etc that was included in your purchase Be careful to key in the correct spelling for more accurate searches!
Come on ladies, send in your info! Let's put together a comprehensive sewing machine pricing guide! Feel free to post a photo!

OK, I'll start. I bought a New Home model 6 NLB, owners manual, accessory box with several feet, buttonhole attachment, in a table in good condition. The machine is in perfect, just service, great stitching condition.
$35 in Denver from a craigslist ad in July 2011.

Not sure a comprehensive price guide is possible. Prices vary so much in different parts of the country...what I'm willing to pay (and some of the others as well) will bring down the values...while there are folks that are willing to pay much more. I'll share my info later when I get more time, but for now, that would be my opinion. These machines are only worth what someone is willing to pay for them. :)

I also bought a Singer model 620 Golden Touch from a Denver estate sale. She was in pristine condition with all original accessories in their original boxes, a manual, extra stitch wheels, perfect carrying case, and a circle attachment too! $50. in July 2010.
I sold her on eBay for $150 plus shipping.

Exactlty true. That's why I want to see city, date, condition, type of sale, etc. It's just meant to be a guideline, even blue book values on cars have a swing range!

We don't have many good machines here locally, since we are somewhat geographically isolated in central valley of California. So I get most of mine by auctions.

Free #5, July 2011, upper Michigan near Rosscommon for $75, with cabinet, all parts and box of "jewelry'. All it needed was a belt and a good cleaning/oiling. It is a treadle.

Minnesota blackside, today, 8/5/11 in a beautiful cabinet for $10, has bobbin case, bobbin, all that but no extra feet. Oh, it's been electrified.

Minnesota with pretty decals in a very rough cabinet, needs cleaned but all parts are there, including extra feet. $15 near Sandusky, Michigan. June 2011

Singer 201, runs like a dream, in a nice cabinet. My son in law paid $60,000 for it. The house it was sitting in was free! LOL By Marlette Michigan.

White Featherweight, 1936, from Craigs List for $300 in the spring.

Black Featherweight, from Craigs list for $179 earlier in the spring.

Eldridge two spools, haven't picked it up yet, but have been assured it is in great condition. Complete with cabinet, accessories, and the original instruction manual. $100 from Craigs List, up by Traverse City.

I also have an Elna Supermatic, Viking, a 127, a Domestic, 3 White Rotary's, and a 66 Redeye. Most were free or almost free. It is amazing what you get when people find out you collect. This should be fun. Oh, and i have 2 more modern Janomes, a 5000 and a 6030. Plus an older Kenmore that Is loved by all.
