I bought these fabrics at a rummage sale over 10 years ago, was just getting back to them and trying to figure out the age of the fabrics. Does anyone have any ideas of age or how to research. I have more also.
Also they are very thin, will close quilting help strengthen the quilt? Thanks for any help.

They are really sweet fabrics...I would think using warm & white batting, or a similar batting, and then quilting it would make it just fine...I have used some thin fabrics, just had to make sure there was nothing behind the squares when layering it, like loose threads, so nothing showed thru, especially with white fabrics....good luck

I just looked thru my book about dating fabrics and found one I have, but not anything like yours. My guess would be 80s.

I don't know the age of your fabric but they sure are cute patterns. Sue

My first guess would be 80's as well, for what it's worth.

I think I would use fusible interfacing behind the thin fabric- have done that with some of my cheaper Walmart special fabric and it really made a difference.

I am not too far from you- about an hour and a half north. My aunt and cousins live in Appleton. I love the St. Vinney's off of, I think it's College Ave? You have to take an access road to get to it. I go there every time we go to Appleton. :)
