I think I used to have one like that years ago. Does the handle fold down? The one I had did.

mlaceruby 07-21-2010 02:25 PM

heats up real nice!

Isn't that a travel iron? Anyway you got a good deal.

I had a travel iron once after about a half hour of being on the bottom bubbled up it got so hot. I am afraid of them now!

I found one like that called a Featherlight by Singer. It got so hot it scorched the fabric as soon as it touched it. There was no heat control, it was on or off. It was way to dangerous to use.

Thanks for the warnings!
will test it out tomorrow and be carefull to see how it works.

It has a flat base, right? No steam holes? Those are supposed to be wonderful for transferring photo's to fabric. They get hotter than today's irons, plus they don't leave "hole" marks in the photo transfer.

no steam holes
I thought it would be great for fusible applique
but will see how it works tomorrow

I don't know anything about that brand of iron.

The old irons I have heat up HOT HOT HOT and take a LONG TIME to cool off...a long time.
