Had two sales reps stop by this week. And, looking through their lines, I noticed that the size of the collections is getting smaller.

That doesn't bother me. But for those companies that offer charm packs... if they're still going to include 40 fabrics in the packs, but now they only have 25 - 30 fabrics in the collection, that means that there will be more duplicates in the pack.

What do you think? Is that a problem? Does it make the charm packs less appealing? Or will they still be as much fun to own?

Just curious...

For me they would be less desirable. I usually buy charm packs to get the variety so having duplicates wouldn't be a good thing. I wonder if they'll drop the count down but keep the price for 40 since fabrics are going up.

My Moda Fandango didn't have 40 prints, but I was fine repeating some of them, especially the prettiest ones.

I would prefer all of the fabrics to be a different pattern. Isn't that why we buy charm packs or other precuts to get the variety without having to buy a lot of yardage.

I would also like to see all different patterns in a charm pack. I am a HUGE fan of charm packs and would be so disappointed to see less charms and the cost go way up.

I'd also prefer all different fabrics. If the line is smaller, then the pack should be smaller also. I might buy two packs but then I would know that I'm getting two of each fabric. I really only buy the charm packs for the many different fabrics.

From my experience buying Moda charm packs there are not 40 different fabrics, but repeats and not a problem so far.

I would prefer them to be all diffrent too, because the big varity is what I like about them.

I don't think it would bother me--if there were 25 or so different ones in the charm pack--that would still be enough of a selection for me to do lots of things with. I guess I would hope, though, that the duplicates would be of the fabrics I liked the best...
