I am not sure, but I believe that when you FMQ you set your stitch length to 0. Since your feed dogs are down, I don't think the stitch length thingy has any effect. However, on my Juki stitch regulator, you can adjust that...not sure, but good luck.

If you're free-motion quilting with the feed dogs down, changing the stitch length won't help at all. The length of the stitch is determined by how fast you're needle is going up and down and how quickly you're moving the fabric sandwich. If your stitches seem to be too small, you should either slow down the machine speed or increase the tempo at which you're moving the fabric (or a little of both!).
