Ok, know this is a stupid question but since I don't have a manual for my (new to me) Singer 128, I have a question. First, is it suppose to have a foot pedal? There's a place in the Bentwood top for what looks like a foot pedal. I do have the knee bar that fits into the hole in the case.
I am also missing the power cord. Does anyone out there have a power cord for the Singer 128? And, I also need a manual...free pdf is fine with me. Thanks for the help!! |
My 1952 128 has a foot pedal. The power cord and the foot pedal cord are wired into the motor, not plugged in.
I printed my manual free from SewClassic.com Ismacs has it, too. |

I'm sure it does. You could ask in the vintage machine thread to talk to someone who's done it.

I thought the knee bar is what controls the motor and makes the machine run on these old machines. I may be wrong. Your best bet is to contact Billy in the vintage sewing machine section.

What year is your machine? I have a 1947 version and it has a foot pedal and no knee control.

My 126 was made in 1926 and my 128 was made in 1923. I'm using the 128 for parts.
I just don't know enough yet! LOL |
