Hi Guys
Just wondering if anyne has any good ideas for wadding scraps..I use 8" squares and bigger for QAYG quilts but what to do with the smaller squares -like 4" etc?
I could do shaggy but hoping for some other ideas?

Kylie, I'm sure that Rhonda will be here any time to tell you what you can do with big 4" pieces of fabric.

I think wadding is batting so if you have small pieces use them in pot holders since they doesn't have to be matched up into bigger squares. Once you have a couple of square layers just slap odds and ends on top.

Or sew the pieces together to make up square sizes you do need. Lot us people just zig zag two edges together and then go on to add more.

I used batting scraps sewn together to make eyeglass cases - I made dozens when I had a cold and tried to stay in bed.
Some got sewn into bigger pieces and used for batting for some dog's bedding.

Coasters.

Gee, thinking of coasters - Darice makes 3-4 inch rounds and squares of plastic canvas - not expensive. Sewing scraps of batting on the canval and then covering with interesting fabric would be cute and you wouldn't be spanding time figuring out how to flatten the coasters after washing. I don't think I'd stick them in the dryer - too hot? but set them out on a towel to dry.

If it is real small I tear it up & use to stuff things. Just seperate it into shreds.

I made draft dodgers for my doors out of scrap batting and trimming from fabric.
I cut an old quilted tablecloth into four pieces, sewed down the side and across the bottom. Stuffed it with the scraps. Tied a piece of binding around the top to close it, tossed them down in from of my doors...and now they are keeping out the cold.

I would butt them together and stitch them with a zigzag to make a bigger piece.

Done that too
