I am in search of a pattern for a 12 inch wagon wheel . All I seen to be able to find is a Dresden wheel. It is not exactly what I am looking for since I am doing a time piece. Can anyone help?

Is it like a dresden with a straight edge instead of a rounded or pointed curve??
|
yes it is. The dresden wheel did not come into play until the 1920's..and I am making a civil war quilt for my brother that is a history teacher.

I saw Fons and Porter do one on their show, you may be able to find it on their website, not a dresden .

Thanks

What size block do you need?
|
I also forgot to ask how many spokes you wanted and if you wanted 1, 2, or 3 layers out from the center for the Wagon Wheel block.

Quilt in a Day has one in their Underground Railroad quilt book. It comes out very nice and is easy to do as they use the interfacing method to applique it on. They also have a template of one of the wedges to copy in the book.
