I just read in the Wall Street Journal that "Wal-Mart to Tout Goods Returning to Shelves". Starting in May, shoppers in the USA will see signs in stores heralding the return of fishing tackle, bolts of fabric and other "heritage" merchandise that Wal-Mart reduced or cut out altogether as it attempted to spruce up its stores to appeal to more well-heeled shoppers.
"Some of these products were very important to our customers, particularly in rural areas, and they let us know they wanted them back."

Well ladies, I guess that they were listening to us.

I got some. it is 100% cotton, but it is not good quality or nice to work with. I'm just talking about what I picked up. It is 4 yards on a bolt for $5. (I think).

Ours never got rid of it and has added a lot lately. You do have pick and choose which ones to purchase.

Yes, their $5 cotton fabric specials were not top quality and definitely did not do well under a HOT iron. The knits they had for $5 were about average and usually only good for lightweight clothing. If you do happen to find a print you like, you will want to wash it first because it shrinks and tumble dry low.
