Can you use a walking foot for other than straight stitching? Thanks Linda

Most of the instuctions I've seen say straight stitch only, HOWEVER i have used decorative stitches with mine-just don't make it wider then the opening. I also have an "open toe" walking foot that is for decorative stitching. I use a wavy stitch to SID and sometimes to attach my binding.
