What tricks do you use to keep the seam guide bar from slipping when you are grid quilting?
I have resorted to gorilla tape, but there must be an easier way!!

Did you apply the screw that goes into the back of it to lock it into place?

Be sure and tighten the screw.

I have a husqvarna Sapphire 870Q (& the Lily 540) and I don't think there is a screw on it to tighten it, but I could be wrong....

walking foot answer

I asked for help recently about how to attach the seam guide bar on my walking foot, or feet, since I have 3 of them. I am really glad that none of them has a screw to tighten the bar, because I have spent SO
much time trying to find a way to secure them. Then the light bult went off! When pinning a quilt using Pinmoors, I was comtemplating how securely they held during quilting. So...I used a pairof fine point scissors to start the hole in a Pinmoor, pushed the quilt bar through, and IT WORKED!! Holds like a vise. HAPPY QUILTING!!!!!
