wall hanging

ok i am making a small wall hanging quilt of my grandson it is prob 2 feet by 2 feet this is my first time making one do i put batting in the middle like a reg quilt or do i just sew fabric on the back

Sort of depends on the look you want. I prefer a light batting, it gives a more demensional effect. If you don't want or need batting, then just put a fabric back and either bind or turn RSO and finish! Pics please!

It will hang better with a batting. I use a firm one like Warm & Natural.

I agree, exactly what I do...think the batting helps the quilt hang flatter on the wall

I buy flannel when it's 50% off the clearance price at JoAnns and use that as batting in my wallhangings. This way I can add some quilting if I want and it doesn't have to be spaced a certain distance.

I use warm and natural for small wall hangings as well as my quilts
