Wallhanging Border Help

6 Attachment(s)
I desperately need suggestions on borders for this wallhanging. Univ of Texas' colors are not the best to work with and the fabric available is pitiful.

Hopefully I've attached options I've danced around with the fabrics I have.

I was thinking to have a 6" mitered border with 2-4 fabrics. Muslin backing with a dark binding.

Your thoughts?

The final image is the UT quilt I made for my son last Christmas. Wish my wallhanging looked as good.

Thanks in advance.

1st - I personally like the horns logo instead of the UT. The UT is very busy to me. I think I would like, in order next to the quilt, first thin black, then horns logo, then thin white, then wider burgundy. I feel there needs to be a solid between the main quilt and the beginning of the borders. You did a great job - that wall hanging rocks!

I like the longhorn border, a solid colour border and bind in the same solid. Unless you need it bigger, 2 borders will frame it nicely. I think your wallhanging looks really nice!

I personally like the 5th photo. It doesn't seem as busy and looks very nice

I love the long horn pattern for your border. Sets every thing up just right.

The fifth picture looks good to me. This combo makes a nice crisp looking finish.

I like the last close-up photo best.
Really pretty quilt!!

I like the 3rd pic best--shows the longhorn logo and the UTx emblem and makes it obvious what it's about.

I really like your wallhanging! I also like the second from the last border choice best. Whichever one you select will look good, but that is the one I like the best.

Dark orange and white are UT's colors. I think I would frame the quilt with one of those colors. Orange would make it pop.
