Unfortunately for me, our local Wal-mart is next door to a Joann's. And I was told that it's too much competition to sell cut fabrics but will continue selling pre-cuts. At least it's not disappearing!

I stopped by our Brunswick, GA Walmart to see if fabric had made it back. Not yet but they did have quilt batting and sewing supplies I did not expect to see. But in Jan-Feb 2012, we will be getting a Joann's fabrics. Right now we have one quilt store for any kind of fabrics. all else is a drive to Jacksonvill, Fl.

The Walmart I stopped at two weeks ago where the lady said it was coming back is working on it. I went last week and another lady said "it's coming" and the area was in sort of a disarray. So that's hopeful. Nothing yet in the one closest to me.

I know my local WalMart is bringing back fabric when they do their remodel in Sept-Oct. Check out your WalMart clearance for batting- recently picked up a Full size of 80/20 for $5.00. Looks like they were not restocking it. The shelves had all poly batting. Hope you find some.

You know whats funny. I thought I would be going to Walmart a lot more now that it has its fabric back but I am finding that I dont.
I think Walmart waited too long and now I am just use to not shopping there. To bad for them as I use to go there once a week but now maybe once every 6 months ohh well |
