Just got back from my local walmart. We have always had the fabric dept. Today they had marked down a bunch of fabric to 1.50 a yard! For you picky people, no its not LQS quality of course, but for those who use this fabric, its a great deal. I got enough to make myself a use/abuse quilt, enough to make many, many, heart pillows for our breast cancer patients to use after surgery, and one particularly ugly fabric to try the OBW pattern I wanted to try, but didn't want to pay a fortune for the fabric in case I hated it.
Oh, also got there just as they were discounting the meat. Got my freezer full again, and am going to be using both crockpots tonight to cook the ground beef(got alot, hope it fits), then tomorrow into the foodsaver and then freezer for easy meals. not a bad day!! Virg |

I just got back from my local walmart and they had batiks first time I had saw them there. The were good quality I did the test of holding them up to the light but they also felt really soft and not thin at all. Only 3.97 a yard... I think.

Lucky smart you! :)
Our WalMart just started selling fabrics again and they have fabric at $1.50 a yard. I didn't get any of that, but I did get 2 yds. of cream flannel for $3.99 per yd. Just like JoAnn's for $5.99. They also have monks cloth that I use for afghans for $7.99 a yd. JoAnn's is $13 per yd. The dept is much much smaller than before, still it will grow as people buy fabric. I'm happy. :) |
No! I will not go to Walmart, no I will not go to walmart, no I will not................

The fabric dept here sells David's Textile fabrics and that's the only brand I buy at Walmart. It's excellent quality.

Well done!
