I had to go grocery shoping today and there are somethings that I get at walmart. I haven't been to walmart in almost a month and when I went in I about had a heart attack. They were completely changing the store around. (which is really annoying) but the wonderful news is that they are starting to carry fabric and sewing/quilting things again. YEAH!!!! hubby doesn't know this but I got two cut and sew apron fabric/patterns. one for me and one for dd and her dolls. and they all match. it is really cute. will post pics when they are done. But I am just so excited that they are finally getting the sewing quilting back in. even if it is precuts and stuff. better than nothing right? but the good news is that it is coming back. yeah.

None of the precuts except fats are what I like. They have lots of solids and child prints.
The store is now arranged by dept. so it is a cut up mess.
I liked going down all the rows and finding things I did not know I wanted. Now I only get whats on my list.
So they are losing sales from me.

Wow. Now *that* would be something if they brought back fabric. Sad that they spent the man-hours to take it away in the first place!

I am so happy to hear this :D:D:D

Thats all it is, precuts ant a hefty price. Cheaper to go else where. I did get some on a mark down. Three yards for 3 bucks. Nice fabrics. But they no longer carry the bolts...

my Wally World still carries bolts of fabric... just not much.. and there are basic quilt and sewing supplies.. I will run there for something I need right away but mostly I prefer to go to my LQS or Joannes.. when I drive to Birmingham I am in heaven in Hancock!

We have 5 Walmarts in Fort Wayne. The 1st one took fabric department out, but now that store is totally remodeled, they have an aisle with one side of FQ's, $1 each, or coordinate 7-packs for $10. Other side is precut 2-yd lengths, most at $7 for the length. A friend told me that the newer one by me still has bolts. I am a Walmart-a-phobe, so don't get in there much. I will have to check out the one with bolts and see just how much they do have. One of the other newer ones never put fabric in when it was built. Haven't been in the other 2.

I'm so glad that your WM has material now. Sometimes we have to travel a long way to go to LQS. It's nice when you might need something quick and you can just run there.
Again HAPPY for you. :) :) :)
