OMG - that's great

JUNEC 04-27-2011 12:51 PM

Am I reading this correctly - they are selling 2 yards of this fabric for $7.97?

Is this the 3rd rate material you are talking about???

Here is something about Springs Creative

The one WalMart an hour from us that still has fabric just had JUNK--thin, lots of sizing to disguise the poor quality, thread count horrible.....waste of money.
I got one really cute kiddie fabric one day in a hurry, it lasted about 6 months for grandson's quilt. When it was washed the first time, there was nothing there...

Be aware that the manufacturers make various grades, and last I knew WalMart got the CHEAPEST--this from an ex-employee who worked there for years. For example, *#*# makes 3 grades, etc. of the same print line.

If they will accept a return of the fabric, uncut of course, then it might be okay. With ship to the store, you wouldn't be out shipping costs.

Our local walmarts do not carry any kind of fabric, but I was in one about 45 minutes away about a month ago. I picked up some of their 2 yard pre-cuts, fat quarter and a couple of baby quilt kits. I found the quality of everything to be very good. Nothing was thin at all, and it was all 100% cotton. I sure hope they bring this stuff locally.

I'll bet if Walmart got their heads on straight...they could easily be the number one online fabric retailer with good fabrics, of course, and the site to store free shipping. Hope someone from Walmart is LISTENING! LOL

It looks like most of the stuff my Walmart has and according to the descriptions it is cotton. It sure feels like cotton in person. I'd use it.
