Our Walmart had a big fabric dept. Some great fabric, some NOT so great, lol!

I forgot to mention that Walmarts fabrics unless it is a brand name fabric and even though it may say 100% cotton if you will read there sign on the wall it will say "content fiber unknown" which means they do not know where it came from.

I had never noticed that until about a month ago when I was in one of the Walmarts and picked up a bolt and although it said on the one hand 100% cotton I also read where it said "content fiber unknown". So in my mind I asked "ok so what is it than".

Cool! I will definitely have to check that out.

If they are the same precut kits that they sell in some stores, the fabric in them is very poor. The thread count is very low & can see the weave very easy.

From China, Korea, India, Pakistan etc ... almost ALL fabrics are imported now, especially quilting & sewing fabrics ... No more made in the USA :(

Interesting. I haven't looked at the Wallie World here to see what the fabric is like. I have several LQS near me so I try to patronize them.

Amen! However I remember a time when that was all I could afford, and it allowed me the opportunity to quilt!
