Hi All, I need some help finding this particular pattern and I only need just a little bit to having all of my blocks finished. All I need is 8= 2 1/2" squares and this UFO will be out of my studio and on our bed!

I found the fabric in Hancock Fabrics in the Absolutely Cotton wall if that helps and I just stepped out to the studio and the selvage did not have the maker or the pattern on it. (the quilt has both this color and a tan color fabric in the same pattern)

My wife's Zhu Zhu is helping me out by modeling the fabric!

Sorry, don't know this one!

life is sweet 02-03-2010 04:27 PM

sorry man. can't help you. good luck - someone out there must have some!

Lostn51 02-03-2010 04:39 PM

If I didnt cut the Designers name off of the selvage I would not be in this predicament. At least then I would have something to work with other than a pattern.

I have squares that are sort of like that, but different color...black to be exact and the design is bigger.
I sure hope you find what you are looking for.......

I might have something pretty close and will check when I get home. I posted it here on "My First Log Cabin" with photos. Take a look at: http://www.quiltingboard.com/t-31319-1.htm

ToucanSam 02-03-2010 05:51 PM

How long ago did you buy it? I can check at mine tomorrow if you think it might be around...

Lostn51 02-03-2010 06:53 PM

I bought it last year in the late summer or early fall. I am going to another Hancock Fabrics tomorrow to see if they have it. The store I bought it from had the Bright orange and the tan/gold version but no rust color.

But they were in the middle of inventory so I do not know if all the stores around the country are doing the same but it was a mad house there today.

I just need to finish up the 8 blocks and then I can knock this rascal out buy next week if I am lucky! :D

And thank you everyone for helping me look for the fabric!!!!!

I have 2/3 yds of this material. It's really close, but probably not exact. However, if you think it would work, I'll be happy to send some your way. Just let me know.

Wow that is real close, let me see what happens tomorrow and if someone here doesnt have the exact fabric and I cant locate it here then I will have to say yes to this one!!!

I only need a 2 1/2" x 20" strip.

If it was not for already having half of the quilt sewn together already I would use a wine color that is going to be on of the inner borders as the center of the blocks. And that way I could have alternated the colors and it would have looked normal and intended.

But here is what I have so far.....I have another 16" of border that will go around the entire quilt to make it a King size.

Oh my! That is REALLY pretty!

ToucanSam 02-04-2010 09:50 AM

I went by Hancock's this morning and they didn't have it. They had one that was close but not quite the same.

Lostn51 02-04-2010 03:21 PM

I went to another one and they didnt have the color but they did have the pattern. I think is a Rust color but the manager said that they are shipped what ever the corporate offices feel like they need when it comes to the quilters cottons.

On one of the quilting shows - I thing Fons and Porter - they had a tip about photo color copying a piece of fabric using your copier - might be an idea.

Very pretty fabric by the way

Billy

Did you get the manufacturer and maybe the pattern name? That would help with searching on the internet.

sunkistmi 02-04-2010 06:17 PM

I think I saw it on Whittlesfabrics.com. I was so excited when I saw it but then couldn't find your thread asking about it. I'm pretty sure it is the right one. Good luck.

I looked and it just had a generic SKU number no name.

Nope, sorry but sure is purdy.

Do you remember where on the site it was? I tore into that place and stayed in it for hours and could not find it. But I still didnt look at everything. It all started looking the same after the first hour or so LOL!

Billy,
Since you need such a little bit of the fabric, I wonder if you could scan it as a JPG and print it on the fabric sheets usually used for photos in quilts. Photo colors will come out very true if you have a good printer.

sunkistmi 02-05-2010 09:19 AM

Billy, I'll go back in and see if I can find it. I was SO excited when I saw it, put the site on 'hold', then spent the next 3 hours trying to get back to where you had posted that you needed it. I had gone into one of the collections I liked so it shouldn't be too hard to find, famous last words. I'll see what I can do.

sunkistmi 02-05-2010 09:29 AM

OK, if it is the right one, I FOUND IT ALIVE!!! Whittlesfabrics.com, go to Online Catalog, all their collections will come up. Go to 'Quilting Treasures', it will be on the right side not too far from the top, when that is opened, there will be more collections, go to 'Quilting Treasure Fabric', it will be on the left on the bottom, and the fabric, which I hope is the one you need will be on the left called Radiance, $3.50/yard. Whew! It was really easy to go back since the site had remembered which collections I had looked at yesterday. Let us know if it was the right one or not. The quilt is so pretty that it deserves to be finished. Good luck.

If you click on "My Watched Topics" in the header at the top of the web page, it's a lot easier to find a post you have read.

Oh that is so close but not it....... :(

I hope I can find it but I think the one that I might end up with is what Hula found for me. I have 2 more spots to hit today and I will have exhausted all resources here.

Billy

sunkistmi 02-05-2010 09:43 AM

That's what I thought, but it wasn't there. The only things I found there were ones I had made a post to, and I had only read it not replied to it. I couldn't remember the title so I couldn't use "Search". I figured someone would reply at some point so I watched the "Recent Topics" section. Even that only lets you go back so far so I could not find it when I needed it. Oh well, hopefully it's the right pattern that's needed. Thanks for the heads up on the header.
Wendy

sunkistmi 02-05-2010 09:47 AM

Well, I tried. Wish you all the best in finding something. I'd try the scanning on fabric. I used that method for just a little bit that I needed and it came out very well. I just made sure I did not put it in the same block as the 'real' fabric. I knew it was there, but no one else said anything. Good luck.
