My sister made each of our family a quilt. Here we are displaying them. Our names all start with D. My brother died 12 years ago. and my dad died on Feb 11 this year. My smallest brother is currently in Iraq- his 2nd trip. We had lots of fun with the quilts.

I am very sorry to hear of the loss of your brother and father

but your sister has made some fantastic quilts

I particularly like the autumnal colours in the quilt on the left

The quilts are so beautiful. Sorry for your loss. Still think of my father often - he has been gone 10 years. my brother has been gone 1 1/2 years. my husband 21 years. Yikes that is a long time.

Did you do the top quilting for all those quilt?

DA Mayer 05-05-2008 08:47 AM

my sister has the same longarm machine as I do. She is the pro in our family. She calls these quilts her practice when she wants a new pattern to try she will throw her scraps together and practice. She has done stars, animals, teddy bears, diaper pins, hearts, tons of meandering. She is my role model. She had some of these finished while I was setting my machine up.
