Warm & Natural batting

I love warm & natural batting, but it seems to me it is not as thick as it used to be or is it just me? Do you think the batting sold in the packages weighs as much as that on the roll? I have some old pieces that seem to be a little thicker.

I haven't noticed a difference. I haven't bought a packaged one in a while. I buy rolls now.

I've only done a few quilts but it seems the last one didn't fill in as well with the W & N. It didn't plump up as much. The thing is --- I bet it's from the same roll! So maybe it's the fabric and quilting that makes the difference.

I noticed that the Warm and White is thinner. I also buy it by the rolls.

Haven't really noticed either, but I have to be honest I don't if mine isn't real thick. I have neuropathy in my feet related to my diabetes and I can't sleep with a lot of weight on my feet. Just checked the stash on the roll does feel like it is tighter maybe slightly thicker. Checked some packages I ordered a few months back, and some I got a couple weeks ago from the same company and they are the same. Good question to ask though. I think a lot of the fabric seems thinner this fall. I guess they think we'll still buy it. Kinda like grocery prices increasing.

It sure is, I noticed and ck' what my older batting and some newer that I had bought .....I noticed it at first at the LA shop and asked if it was a new batting and she siad no, peeked my curiosity so I came home to ck my own ...

I have thought the same, IMHO it is thinner.

Yes, I think the batting is getting a little to thin and the price seems to be going up as well. I just purchased fairfield white batting and it was thin also. Not really happy, but I needed white batting. any good sugestions to get decent batting at a decent price.

I think it's like everything else. Smaller quantities and higher prices. I like the Bamboo/Cotton bats.

I purchase this on the roll, and did think as I finished my last quilt....this seems to be a little thinner. I had some scraps from several quilts ago....compared the two peices, and yes, it IS thinner.

I've only been quilting less than 2 years so I have nothing to compare my batting with. However, we live in the South so I'm very satisfied with W & N and Hobbs 80/20.

I've noticed it thinner also. Last purchase was a Joanne's and it is thinner. I thought it was because Joanne's was ordering a lesser quality (I'm upset with them for increasing the price on W&N when they have coupons). I also bought some from Beverly Crafts and it is thicker (maybe they ordered it sometime ago and got the "old style") who knows. Thanks to others for confirming I'm not crazy.

I am now going to buy another brand Quilters Dream, it may be a little more but at least its the same as it was.. The W&N is now like using almost nothing !!!
