Is there a right and wrong side to warm and natural? I laid mine out this morning and one side feel different from the other. I have the warm and natural needled cotton. It states that it is needle punched. Is this why it feels different on each side. I have not used this in years and can not remember.

its the scrim on the batting, I personally put that down.

The W&N web site says that the side with the flecks (plant and leaf particles) is the top side, and the whiter side is the bottom.

I have not worried about it! I am going to check on my next quilt.

I honestly can see how it would make a difference, but if you have a preference, that's fine.

I understand you get less bearding if you quilt with the "fleck" side up. Your needle is entering and exiting the same way that the batting was needle punched.

I never knew! Thanks!

Okay, really did not know. I also did not want to wait any longer to put this together. So I put the rough side down and the smooth side up. This batting also states that due to the needle punch process there is no residue. This was true for I did not see any particles in the batting.
Thanks for responding. |
