Warm & white batting

How far apart should the quilting go? Can I get away with quilting 4" apart? My block units are 4" square and the sashings between the rows and columns are 4" wide. There is no info on the package. It is W&W needled cotton batting.
Thank you.

With most battings, if you look them up on line (through Google) they should have those answers. I found info on another site - 10", their own site did not give the info. Some manufacturers also put it on the package. Have fun!

Up to 10" apart. I have a roll that I bought from JA's.

Thank you for the prompt replies. I should have known that Mr. Google would have the info.
I am happy to hear that I can quilt it up to 10" apart.
You guys are the best!

yes, 10 inches apart is acceptable, but I like to do mine more between 6 and 8 inches - just because of the designs that I seem to do.

I'm with you. On rare occasions I'll quilt further apart but I tend to like designs that are a bit more dense than that.
