Warm & White/Natural Batting At JoAnns

Does anyone know if JoAnn's still carrys Warm Company Batting. There is none listed on their website. This is my favorite batting and I usually buy it from JoAnns.

I ordered mine from Amazon. It is much cheaper. I heard Joann's will not carry Warn and Natural or Warm and white anymore.

I have noticed that too. While I usually buy Hobbs Heirloom 80/20, occasionally I do like to use W & N. Seems like the Toasty Cotton Brand is replacing it. Haven't tried that yet. Maybe it's comparable.

I wondered the same thing. Joann's is no longer ordering from Warm Products, is going to carry their own brand, whatever that is or will be.

On a good sale, Joann's definitely had the best deal on W&N but you can definitely get it at other places and you can find some decent deals if you can afford to buy a lot at once. Some people can't.

When we're buying everything at Amazon, it'll be a sad day, honestly. I wish there were more good sources. I like to support my local stores, but sometimes my bank account doesn't allow it.

If you still want small quantities of batting from Joann's, Hobbs Heirloom 80/20 is really great. I use it all the time. Joann's jacked up the price, but now frequently offers a 70% off batting sale that brings the price back to earth. LOL.

They announced earlier this year that they would no longer be carrying products from the Warm Company. They are selling mostly their own brand now.

Nesie 10-24-2019 03:52 AM

Just yesterday I saw batting products from "The Warm Company" at Hobby Lobby. (Both on a very large roll that they cut or packaged).
You can do very well there with a 40% coupon.

Nope, they now have their own brand. I purchase from Walmart.com, delivered right to the door and usually free shipping. Comes here faster than I can make it to town.

TeresaA, I agree with liking local stores, but Joann's jacks up prices to make people think they are getting a good deal - when in reality, they aren't.

When the news about Joann's choosing to no longer carry W&N, I was disappointed bc I always used my coupons to buy either multi packs of rotary blades or W&N there. Since they weren't carrying it, I started looking for other sources. To my surprise and irritation, I found that there are several other places that you can get it, without a coupon, for about the same price. Delivered to me, no less! Same goes for the blades.

Now the only thing I go in for is the occasional odd craft item. Even their home dec stuff is getting ridiculous. Charging $60 or $70 for an item, but the minute it's put out, it's on sale for 40% off. Such a deal!! Not.

Joann no longer carries Warm Co.

Mkotch 10-25-2019 02:39 AM

I've been buying Quilters Dream which I like more than W&N at my LQS. Discovered that it costs about the same there as at Amazon. And no shipping, of course!

WMUTeach 10-25-2019 03:01 AM

I was devastated, OK that is a bit of an over statement, that JoAnn's was no longer carrying W & N. But, I have found it in many other places, online and even at a quilt shop closing sale. :(. Never fear, it is still available for us W & N folks.

junegerbracht 10-25-2019 03:24 AM

I stopped in Joann’s to buy Steam a Seam and then realized it’s a W&N product. Ordered from Amazon - came the next day.

Lady Diana 10-25-2019 08:34 AM

OMG steam a seam is W &N? There will be a lot of items not purchased at JoAnn.....I guess we Google all items we need from now on.

Jordan 10-25-2019 11:18 AM

Last time I looked at JoAnn's our local store had W&N and I just got a text from a friend yesterday stating that their batting was on sale for 70% off so JoAnn's may be getting rid of all of their W&N. I buy Hobbs 80/20 at Michael's. Just bought a pkg this morning with a 50% off.

PamelaOry 10-25-2019 11:42 AM

I think this is a mistake on JoAnns part. W&N batting was about the only thing I bought there anymore, now I have no reason to go there.

Claire123 10-25-2019 11:38 PM

I had heard that they are now selling Pellon products instead of Warm company battings. I think it was a corporate decision.

Update: I saw some Warm and Natural products at Joann's online tonight. Maybe this is just a holiday thing or maybe they've realized just how many people walk in to their stores because of W&N? I know that a month ago they had no "Warm Products" at all. Maybe we have reason to hope that we'll get our convenience back.

SewingSenior 11-27-2019 07:06 AM

I was so disappointed when I couldn't find W&N in my Joann's store, sure hope they bring it back because it is my favorite.

Quilter Dream is the only brand we use also. Since we are a LA quilting business with a tax id we get it direct from the company on king size rolls. We can cut it for any clients using width of quilt instead of length. Dream Orient is my personal favorite (mix of silk, bamboo, eucalyptus and cotton) Warm in winter and cool in summer. Support your local quilt store and get it there. It is worth it.
