Anyone know if Warm Wishes is a free pattern on the internet and if so, do you possibly have a link?

I tthought the same thing till I studied the picture up close,whomever made the one in the picture used two very similar fabrics and in the drawing they use 3 different fabric so you understand they are different. It is a very nice pattern to do, although next time I make it I will use 2 close fabrics like the picture. Anna

They are the same. This quilt is such an optical illusion! ALL of the unpieced squares are the same fabric. They kind of fade into the background on the picture in the PDF file as some are framed with the darker fabric..and some AREN"T framed. The unframed ones can look different, but trust me, in this pictures they are the same. I have that issue.

That being said, you CAN change those fabrics. I just saw a post that asked if they could use this pattern as an I Spy. Brilliant!

I love this pattern. I would like to point out that it's easy to adjust. The pattern uses 6" squares, but I often use 7.5" if I'm in a hurry (fewer blocks to make). I cut the focus fabric at 8" (7.5" finished) and the striped blocks at 3" each (2.5" finished) or 2.5" for the sides and 3.5" for the middle, if you like a bigger middle strip.

If I sew the strips by width of fabric, I can get five 8" blocks out of a piece. It goes pretty quickly to make a lap-sized quilt or bigger.

This is the Warm Wishes quilt I just finished for our spare room. The picture on the quilt pattern is very busy and hard to see what it looks like. Still need to do the sham and dust ruffle. (Granddaughters request for "new beautiful dresses" was put on the front burner.

I Had to look a couple times at the lay out myself recently when I made this pattern. I had some on the design wall wrong and kept looking at the download. My printer is only in black and white so I had the download up on the computer until i got it in my head. sometimes so easy and your brain won't work. Happy sewing.

Warm wishes is so easy to graph, try that instead of looking for a pattern. Big squares and a 3 rail fence block that has two colors on the outsides and a slightly wider neutral on the inside. YOU pick the block size.

Our Community Service group has made hundreds of these quilts for distrubution, and becuse of the fabric combinations, all look different. It is easy to make kits for the rest of the guild to help make the quilts. They all turn out so pretty.

Funny that you posted this because I have seen "Warm Wishes" mentioned several times and didn't know what it looked like. As I was looking in photos section yesterday, I saw a beautiful one made in browns, then I saw another one in red, white, and blue and thought one of them had been mislabeled as they did not look alike to me. So, I went back and looked again. The brown one had one of the strips so close to the block color that I only noticed two of them. Glad I am not the only one...

The layout I like best is when the framed square is a large print with good clear colors and the unframed square is a matching print but a bit less dominant. Then the rail fence needs to be two of the darker colors in the prints with a neutral center rail. And the rail fence looks good in tiny prints, too, or blenders as some of you call them.

The key here is that one square is surrounded by one color in the three strip blocks, and then the next center is surrounded by the color on the other side of the strip blocks. I made one with a shark print as the center squares for one grandson and another with a dragon print in that center square. They love them! And it is such an easy pattern to sew and can be quilted by a novice on a domestic machine. Love it!

Yes, I found it in several places. Some are easier to use than others but it is pretty basic. I am just finishing my first and it was easy, peasy! Also a good use of moderate sized scraps or a cut you really don't like much but want to put to good use.

I used an overall westen print that looked like small blocks (some were boots, some stars, some bareback riders and etc); cut them into a mock looking 4-patch block and used them for the print center and chose three coordinates for the rail fence. Turned out okay for our horse loving nephew's 40th birthday gift; and yes....so easy to put together. I will attempt to download a couple of pics. Sorry, I think it's sideways and only got one of the pics. Ugh

Here's a gussied up version of a Warm Wishes type, free on the Hoffman site: https://hoffmanfabrics.com/EDocs/Sit...%20pattern.pdf It has snowball blocks for the ones that are not framed, and some of the framed one have an extra frame around them, but you could just make plain squares it if you don't want to do the extra steps. Even with them, it would be quite simple.

I can't wait to try this pattern, and it is good to know that you can change the size of the block... Thank you Willferg for the size to cut each piece... I'm not good with the math part so this was a big help...

I love your quilt, sharin'Sharon! I'll bet your nephew was very pleased. I will never look at fabric with printed squares again without thinking of possibilities like this.
