When you wash your placemats or table runners and they get all wrinkled, do you iron them. Because I thought you were not suppose to iron anything quilted, but they don't look very nice. Any advice!

I ironed mine.

I definitely iron.
|
I machine wash them, then toss them into the dryer. When they come out of the dryer, I smooth them and they look fine.

I would iron them.

I iron all of mine with no problem.

You know, last time I washed a wall hanging and noticed it was more wrinkly than I liked, I peeked over my shoulder, gazed quickly around the room, saw no one was watching, and I IRONED it! Looked just fine and nobody knew.

Thanks everyone! I'm going to try and iron mine.

I don't iron my own placemats. The only ones I have are ones that I made but I hate ironing. I only sort-of enjoy pressing when I am actually making something.

Go ahead and iron them, but don't let the quilt police catch you
If you used poly fabrics or batting don't set the iron on cotton. |
